Recurrent Dislocation of the Shoulder

Abstract
Many authors have singled out different aspect of the disorder and have based their surgical procedure on their concept of the essential lesion.
But no one has obtained successful result with a single method of operative procedures.
In the view point of essential pathology of the shoulder joint, the Bristow method is an ideal method of dynamic reconstruction of recurrent dislocation of the shoulder up to now. We have experienced two cases of recurrent anterior dislocation of the shoulder in youth.
The initial dislocation has begun during convulsion in both cases.
These cases were treated with modified Bristow method and followed, over 9 months.
The result was successful in the stability and range of motion.
